The internet is a very useful tool where we can access information quickly. I do want you to optimize your success in the class by providing online tools for you to use. There will be assignments where you will be collaborating with other students online. Since you will be using the internet frequently for this class, I want to make sure that you practice internet safety. The following will layout the guidelines for online safety.

-Making sure that you get right information on your projects is important. Cornell University Library give 5 criteria on how to evaluate a website. -Using a better search engine will generate better results. Typing in what you want in any search bar is okay, but what is even better is using Google Scholar. -If you want to make sure that your work is authentic and not plagiarized, Plagtracker will let you know if you have or not. In the parts that indicate plagiarism, be sure to provide a citation for that information. |
